Prof. Dr. Nils Stein

Research Group leader at Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK), Gatersleben, and Professor of Genomics of Plant Genetic Resources at Georg-August-University, Göttingen. His research focuses on structural and comparative genome analysis of the small grain cereals barley, wheat and rye – with a leading role in genome sequencing of all three species, work that has recently been extended into pan-genome analysis to unlock the three species’ genomic diversity.
